“Music…..it’s like love, it is hard to define, but we know it when we feel it.  It lifts us up, it moves us, and it brings us all together.  Music can inspire us to dream big dreams and do great things.”  Harry Connick, Jr.

Being a product of the mid 1950’s I feel that I was born at just the right time during the history of music.  As a child, I developed a love for a wide variety of music….big band, bebop, rock and roll, bubblegum pop, heavy metal, old and new country and Christian rock.  As my love for music grew, I noticed the common thread between all music genres is string instruments.  After deciding to produce a body of work on string instruments, I noticed the majority of images provided one view, an overall view of the instruments.  In my body of work, I wanted to provide a very different and somewhat abstract view of a guitar, bass, banjo, violin and a mandolin.
